Cadence Weapon

Seeing as how Roland Pemberton, aka Cadence Weapon is Edmonton’s Poet Laureate, don’t you think it’s appropriate that he make an appearance at this year’s Poetry Festival? HELL YES. Mr. Weapon, along with a number of killer Edmonton rappers, will be bringing hard beats and rhymes to the festival on Friday, April 23, 2010 – 8:00pm, The Artery 9535 Jasper Avenue (here’s the official event listing). You know in the sub-cockles of your poetic hearts that this event is going to blow the doors off downtown and turn everyone in attendance into a full-bore rhyme-chewer. Keep in mind that there’s a $10.00 admission charge (hey, not everything can or should be free, right?).
