PoFest Volunteers! We are again looking to you to make a great festival happen right here in our own city of Edmonton. A hearty thanks to all those who have already promised their services but we still need more people! What better way to get to know poets from across Canada and beyond than to get involved? Take a look below and let us know what will work for you!

Tuesday:

If you are planning to attend the Archives of Absence performance at the Artery, why not volunteer to help at the membership table? You won’t miss a thing, just be available before and at the break to have membership forms available.

We need someone with a car and available during the day to make an airport run to pick up a couple of poets. A private audience with some of Canada’s finest!

Want to have some fun over the lunch hour? We need a couple of people to be available at Poetry Central at the downtown library from 11:30-1:30 to encourage spontaneous eruptions of poetry and make available festival programs. Vacancies Tues, Wed, and Fri.

Saturday:

We need someone with a sizable vehicle to chauffeur a handful of poets (4 or 5) from the Sutton Place Hotel to the Artery for the Poetry Party at 7:30.

Also:

Daytime drivers for the school program are needed. And if you are able to make yourself available for possible airport runs sometime during the week, we’d love to know we can call you.
Lastly, if you know you’ll be attending a certain event, we can always use a list of willing volunteers to back us up if necessary!

If you are interested and able to contribute as a volunteer to PoFest this year please email
and include your name, phone number and what you are available for.
