Talk about a full boat. In case you missed it, signup for PoFest 2009 is DONE. Gone faster than Henry Miller’s underwear on a Saturday night. And we’ve received a ton of signups – possibly the best turnout yet. Stay tuned – more numbers to crunch.

In the WTF file, we’ve had someone request to read with a live animal. A spider monkey. I don’t know what to say about that. When I think of it, I just kinda shrug my shoulders and move along with a baffled look on my face. I mean, who hasn’t read with an animal of some sort? I remember reading with the salmon in BC.

A big, huge THANK YOU to all of you cool poets for signing up. You’ve made this the little festival that could and we thank you from the sub-cockles of our hearts.

We’ll be in touch with schedule information. Check this space for updates, and start practicing your poems. For all you cafe readers, you get five minutes including banter, intro, reading, and grooming (there will be more on this later, as we’d like to have everyone on the same page as far as length of time at the mic goes). The blinkers get 30 seconds, so practice that rapid-fire delivery.
