Slam Finals
Old Strathcona Performing Arts Centre 8426 Gateway Blvd NW, EdmontonUPDATE APRIL 20, 2017: The slam finals are SOLD OUT. NO TICKETS will be available at the door. Prepare yourself for yet another night filled with high energy and poetic wizardry. This slam marks the Breath in Poetry’s 7th year of competitions that determine which poets will represent Edmonton at the Canadian Festival of Spoken Word in Peterborough. The night will see the top 12 poets of the season, performing for one of 5 spots on the Edmonton Slam Team. This event sells out fast! Make sure to get your tickets in advance! This event is open to members of the Breath in Poetry Collective, The Edmonton Poetry Festival, and their guests. Memberships are available at the door. Note: The bar accepts CASH ONLY. Wine and Wild Women Wordsmiths

Like poetry, there is a sea of wine styles and types to choose from. Just like Women, the anthocyanins in wine have great heart-health benefits. It’s Friday night and we invite you to enjoy distilled words, quality grapes, and the company of women who make a habit of pushing boundaries!
