Poetry Central is your chance for a lunch-time poetry meet-up in the downtown! Watch some of Edmonton’s emerging and established, page and stage poets, have a short-order poem written for you on the spot, and pick up festival information or a free poetry book.

  • Luciana Erregue-Sacchi

    Luciana Erregue-Sacchi is a Canadian Argentinian art historian (MA, University of Alberta), multilingual poet and editor based in Edmonton, Alberta. Her most recent works appear in the 2018 anthology Looking Back, Moving Forward edited by Julie Robinson (Mawenzi House).

  • Kim Mannix

    Kim Mannix is a Pushcart Prize nominated poet, fiction writer and journalist who lived in six Canadian cities before landing in Sherwood Park. She has been published in several journals and anthologies and is currently completing her first book of poetry.

  • Susana Chalut

    Susana Chalut is a Chilean poet who resides in Edmonton since 1999. Susana is part of the Stroll of Poets Board. Recently her poetry was showcased in the anthology Looking Back, Moving Forward (Mawenzi House).

  • Garry Garrison

    Gary Garrison is a past president of the stroll and the author of two creative nonfiction books, Human on the Inside: Unlocking the Truth about Canada’s Prisons and Raising Grandkids: Inside Skipped-Generation Families.

  • Marina Reid Hale

    Marina Reid Hale is an Edmonton spoken word writer, performer, and educator. Marina spends her time competing in poetry slams, leading writing workshops, and working at the family wig shop.
