The Edmonton Poetry Festival is set to cram your calendar with poetry from April 25 to May 1, 2011. Mark it and park it!

We’ll have special guests Al Moritz and Karen Solie – back-to-back winners of the $40,000 Griffin Prize for Poetry for the last two years. We’ll welcome Bob Holman, recently dubbed a member of the ‘Poetry Pantheon’ by the New York Times Magazine. We’ll have the finals in the competition to name Edmonton’s new slam poetry team. We’ll have an African poetry night, a noon-hour book chats, a jazz poetry happy hour, school stuff and a sound poetry spectacular.
