Community Programs WORD*LAB
A Co-Production by Edmonton Poetry Festival Society (EPFS) and Quarters Arts Society (QAS), WORD*LAB is a monthly open mic and featured poetry reading presentation that happens live at the CO*LAB. CO*LAB is located in downtown Amiskwaciwâskahikan / ᐊᒥᐢᑲᐧᒋᐋᐧᐢᑲᐦᐃᑲᐣ (aka Edmonton) on Treaty 6 Territory at 9641 102A Avenue.
WORD*LAB is an opportunity for folks to gather to experience spoken word poetry as well as readings from published and unpublished works by local writers.
Doors are at 7:30pm and admission is charged on a Pay-What-You-Can basis so no one will be turned away for lack of funds!
The Open Mic has 8 spots that are filled on a first come first serve basis on the night of the event, followed by the Feature Poet. The show runs from 8pm to around 9:30pm.

Spots are limited to 8 readers, at 5 mins each.

- NO hate speech
- NO disrespect
- Bring your own words (original material)
All WORD*LAB events will be recorded in A/V and made available for viewing online after each event!
