Blinkd and Red
Wow, what a night it was. Alberta has been pulled back from the lake of fire and things feel…well, the same as they did before the election. The vibe at the event seemed to be relief that the PC government stayed in power, mixed with a small amount of disappointment that the left-leaning parties didn’t fare better.
The mood and timbre of the Blinks event was expressed perfectly by Gary Garrison, who, on the eve of the most anticipated provincial election night in recent history, donned his best frock in honour of every artist’s nemesis, Ms Danielle Smith.
I love that Gary did this!
And of course, there are the tweets. A slower night on the Twitter as our intrepid festival ED and Twitter Team Member, Rayanne Doucet, was stricken with a powerless cellphone. Bummer!
Couple rounds of the blinks down. Never seen a guy in a dress play the didgeridoo. #pofest12
