Hey all you poetic reprobates, dig yourself out from behind your computer monitor and take a look at the nearest calendar. Is it still February in this godforsaken tundra-blasted excuse for a city? I know we’re all huddled around the home fires these days, but spring is just around the corner according to my sources (you don’t want to know my sources…trust me). You know what that means, don’t you? The Edmonton Poetry Festival 2010 Edition is just around the corner. April 19 to 25, 2010 to be exact. This year’s theme is “Found in Translation”, and we’ve got a doozy in the pipe.

If you’re reading this in a feed reader, you should hop on out and check out the site. A new look! Droopy, mysterious background images! A giant, one-eyed alien! And of course, all new events! If you want to grab this site’s RSS feed, here’s the url: https://edmontonpoetryfestival.com/?s=news-feed. Subscribe in your choice of RSS reader.

The new schedule is up and you can see it here. Still some y’s to dot and h’s to cross, but the skeleton is there.

The event signup page is live, and you should sign your ass up right now for the festivities. We’ve got FOUR open event choices and you can participate in a maximum of TWO events. That’s TWO ONLY (underscore) for all you attention hounds! You should sign up now, and get there early to avoid disappointment.

Watch this space for more news coverage and event announcements. There are still a few details in the works, so keep your eyes peeled.
