This is the night to take your wedding threads on the town! No decade too old. No gown too gaudy. No cummerbund unwelcome. Join us to eat cake and toast poetry as we celebrate an eclectic “marriage” of women’s words and music with the unlikely bilingual bride, spoken word artist and slam champion Giselle Lemire, and her guest wedding ensemble trois lèvres rouges.

  • Giselle Lemire

    Giselle Lemire is an award-winning broadcaster, actor, spoken word poet, director, coach and now, wedding planner. She invites you to tuck a boutonnière in your lapel, come lend an ear, eat cake and raise a glass at this PoFest happening!

  • KARIMAH

    Bridesmaid KARIMAH is an Edmonton bilingual French/English singer-songwriter. In 2017, she was a top 25 contestant on the televised singing competition “The Voice Canada.” She will join Giselle Lemire with guitar and voice.

  • James Anderson

    Bestman James Anderson is an Edmonton producer, composer, songwriter and performer. From beatbox to Baroque piano, harmonica sessions to producing the soundtrack for a circus, James has worked in countless branches of the music industry.

  • Kathy Fisher

    Kathy Fisher is a performance poet and spoken word artist. A keen collaborator, her passion is the wonderful weaving words and music, especially with multi-instrumentalist, heart-centred musicians named Donna.

  • Donna Durand

    Award winning singer songwriter Donna Durand is a prairie girl who loves to touch hearts with her unique western folk songs.

  • Donna Mae Morhmann

    Donna Mae Morhmann. Multi-instrumentalist, Donna Mae’s musical interests and passions range far and wide. For over decade she has performed with Spoken Words artists and is very excited to share this beautiful potpourri of music, song and spoken word.
