As founder of the University of Alberta, Alexander Cameron Rutherford evinced a great appreciation of literature, including poetry. In fact, Eric Broadus, the University of Alberta’s first English Professor (in 1908), dedicated his 1923 Anthology of Canadian Prose and Verse to him. Join poets Lisa Martin, Naomi McIlwraith, Anna Mioduchowska and Shirley Serviss as they present poems exploring this year’s theme of “family.”
